Darkbaron SG

Well when i was in bmt few years back, we were doing live firing and one of my section mates rifle went off by itself while we were at the 50 m is it? the one after the run down but before the standing hip position. the round hit the ground near our 2IC feet. the 2IC jumped up and screamed ‘wat the fuck’.I thought ‘hong kan liao’. but after that nothing happened cos my section mate didnt even touch the trigger. everyone agar agar the chamber too hot so discharge the bullet. so no charges were levelled. never even kena fark the poor guy. live firing continued as normal after that.

when I just posted to unit after STTS as driver, there is one kuku... on his first detail his tyre went flat and told the captain dunno how to change... make the whole batch of new driver stand by tyre...

then there is more about this kuku... he had been the talk of the own Sungei Gedong Camp at that period... Laughing

During SISPEC training.

We were having Platoon Live Firing (Night)

We were line up 1 straight line (men ic men sc men ic men) then need to do fire movement down our own lane. You all know fire movement standard is IC move, men cover. Men move, IC cover fire.

This super sect comd, when his turn to move, stand up and run to the next bound of the men's lane beside him. Lucky the men saw and stop fire. If not i think the sect comd byebye liao.

His reason being..

"My glasses got fog"

its hard to imagine this manouvre being done with live rounds. and at night too. just imagine if there's a jilted lover out there and his nemesis is just two lanes away. LOL.

With all the safety aspects in a live firing drill even things could go wrong but in a real fire fight i quess everything should go wrong Mr. Green

tankee1981 SG

Well its not totally dark during this particular training...at least not for me as pen-guns are being fired into the air from the rear which provide some illumination. Very Happy

How about my own story? Laugh at ourselves for a moment....

I was PS in my NSF. One nite in the Ulu Sembawang area... night movement to contact. Heard firing suddenly to front left , somewhere ahead of the platoon column.

I knew it was a contact by the forward section. PC was by chance some 50 metres behind me, moving up after conference with OC.

I thot I should react to the sound of fire and ran forward to the front to give support to the section commander. Hardly took 4 steps and suddenly I found myself in a [email protected]@@ pot hole ! Half my body was drenched in wet mud !

Looking back, I think it was rather funny. At that time I was embarrassed. Luckily the night disguised my embarassment.
The garang sergeant fell into a shit hole !!!

You people do not know how blur i was in the army. As i grow up studying on my own most of the time, i never listen to my teachers and to any instructions.

Back when the instructors were teaching us how to strip rifle or anything, i would just drift away and never listen to a single thing. When asked to strip rifle, everyone in my section strip it very fast but i am left with how to even open up the first rifle lol. From then on, i learnt my lesson and start to listen to those sergeants.

If that's the case, then the bunch of slackers in one of the OETI classes during my time, would have had stand by computer. Laughing

Come to think of it...

... he may have accidentally flipped the switch to 'auto' instead of 'safe' on his M16.

Priceless moment..... Cool

Haha... honest story.

Mine was marching. I had never been in any uniform group before entering NS. I was a boy scout when I was in primary school but that was it. My ECA in school was sports.

When I entered BMT, I really had difficulty marching in step for the first few lessons and got really whacked hard by the instructors. I was fit and one of the larger size guys in the platoon and therefore stood out like a sore thumb on the parade square when I was marching out of sync

ad3285 SG

Lucky the other guy was a Group2 IC using SAR21. Lucky for him.
Heard that safety specs want to run and pull him back also dont dare.
Who so brave to save someone then he himself tio shoot? In training somemore? =x

Usually the recruits are bluur or sometimes made to look farking bluur.I remember the time when section commanders would tie sticks to soldiers during drills in order to straighten the arms of people born with crooked elbows or unable to fully explain the Malay commands for easy understanding-In this case the corporals and Sargeants are the bluur ones.As for stripping weapons, even Ah Meng the orang Utan can do it with ease if she is properly instructed> Mr. Green The problem is is when you have NCOs shouting and trying to confuse the recruit Very Happy -Which bring us back to blurr question-who is the real bluur.the instructor or the trainee?
